Well, it’s the last day of Tokyo in Tulsa, and I have had an amazing weekend. Right now, I’m holed up in my hotel room, nursing my poor aching feet, and ruminating on a really wonderful experience. There’s a lot to talk about, so this post is going to be short-ish, and I’ll give a better run-down later this week!
This has been my first experience attending a convention as a guest, and my first time at this kind of convention. Up to this point, it’s mostly been gaming cons where I knew most of the people. And I have had no small amount of Imposter Syndrome over the weekend, especially as I was backstage waiting for my turn at Opening Ceremonies.
For now, all I can say is THANK YOU. Thank you to the AMAZING convention staff who took wonderful care of me, and were always popping by to make sure I had what I needed and everything was going well. Thank you to the wonderful convention attendees. Thank you to my FANTASTIC spouse, who helped cart my stuff around until they twisted their ankle and needed a wheelchair. But most of all, thank you to the people who attended my panels. You guys were amazing to talk to, and I’m so glad that I had the chance to share my experiences!
I’m sure I’ll have more to say later, but for now, that’s enough.
